To early to invite to thanksgiving dinner?

ther'es this girl that i've just started the dating stage with. i don't think she has any family nearby to spend this thanksgiving with. do you think it's appropriate to invite her for thanksgiving dinner with my family? (we haven't gone out yet, but we're supposed to grab some coffee this week.)...or should i just drop off some turkey or something?

Its WAY to early to bring her to your famililes house for a holiday meal. I like the thought of bringing her a "dinner" of left overs and bring some wine. I think thats sweet. You may not even hit it off with her on your first date so I say SLOW down, you are kinda jumping the gun.

Reply:When you meet her for coffee, simply ask her what her plans are for Thanksgiving. If she doesn't have any, then invite her to your family's house. Ask your family to keep it casual, and introduce her as your friend, not your girlfriend. Include her in every thing going on, like helping out in the kitchen, etc.. Just make her feel at home, and she'll be glad she chose to come....

Reply:Thanksgiving at my house is for FAMILY and FRIENDS. If you are dating this girl then she is in the "between" stage and would probably enjoy the invitation. Even if she didn't come to dinner with you she will have been offered the chance.


This year our Thanksgiving will include 1 of my ex husbands, an ex boyfriend and as much of my family and friends that I can get to come.
