I am invited to my mates 18th birthday and i'm just wondering whether or not i should get him anything? is so any suggestions?

Without know any more specifics about your relationship to the person, id say yes, but keep is simple.





As others have suggested, bring a plate of food. A tray you aranged yoursef is always impressive. Just remember to keep the number of items ont he tray an odd number, is looks better.





As for a present, if you dont know anything specific they would like, your cant go wrong with gift vouchers. Although not as personal as an object, it is more personal then plain cash.
Reply:there is no requirement that you bring a gift, however, since you are a friend, there is no reason why you shouldn't. if money is tight, offer to buy a drink or do something special.





i'm 27 and when i celebrate my birthday, i usualy write no gifts necessary. however, my closest friends still bring me gifts.
Reply:I usually bring something. I try to always pick really good gifts, so i think about everything i know the person likes to do, then i look for an odd yet fitting gift.
