In Egypt:Do you invite relatives for Iftar in Ramadan?
Yes Nasreq, most Egyptians take advantage of the blessings on Ramadan to invite all the people they love and care for.

I would be invited in my parents place, my in laws, my friends (we all take turns to host this invitation, but the ladies all help by cooking one or 2 special dishes and taking them to the host..... a dish party) off course, all those invitations are also met by me.

I also liked to invite all my work and my husband's colleagues to Iftar.

So u can say that most of Ramadan, i was either having guests over or having Iftar at someone else's house.

Nice q you gave me some great memories as now i live abroad and i miss a lot of these people, especially my family, though i was blessed to have 3 of my best friends from Egypt moving to the same country we live in and we still carry out "the dish party" ritual.... its a beautiful way to gather and have a great time together.
Reply:People that come for iftar is,me my sister,my sisters husband,my 2 brothers,my mom and dad,and this guy named mohammed i guess you can call him my dads "friend" although he is like 16 years younger then my dad he is 32 and my dad is 48 loool, well ya anyways.thats who comes for iftar, but today i went to the masjid and had iftar there with some of my friends :)

and tomorrow insha'Allah i will see my friends again at this other place i don't know where.
Reply:yeah you can invite anyone you want, you can do it seperately eah family alone, or if you can handle the hussle and bussle in the kitchen for all families at once, then that would be nice as well...and you can do it as much as you want because ramadan brings people together :) ramadan kareeeeem
Reply:i live in a place far away from my bigger family, so i don't have the chance to do that..
Reply:i never have iftar without the whole family, because it is a celebration where everyone should gather together

Reply:yes we did that, but in all of them in same day,we may separate them to several days
