Finally: why England support the Queen and the royal Family if they never would invite you to a cup of tea?

i say we do away with them.

I agree with you!The Royals are the most hilarious things! They don't have any unique abilities or anything special, just because they are born to a king or queen they become absolutely rich and famous and they have everything they want. There is Definitely NO logic for this, It IS dictatorship 'cause its the country's money they are spending and it's people's right they are taking away. I think the time of royals is over, they have to understand what civilization and justice is about, and as far as i know it has got nothing to do with royalty!
Reply:You make a valid point. However, remember that Parliament governs the country, not the Queen. She is really just a figurehead for the country. England loves their royals, and besides, if they got rid of them, who would we all gossip about? I do agree tho, that since the Queen of England is the richest woman in the world, she and her family do not need to be receiving money from the citizens of England.
Reply:I believe that the royal family will be gone someday, but not yet.
Reply:That's a very confusing statement you have made, my friend, but let's just deal with your first couple of points. Why support the Queen and the Royal Family if they never invite you in for tea? In fact, they do invite people in for tea. Not just world leaders and celebrities, but common folk as well. There is a special ceremony held on Maundy Tuesday, when a group of poor people is invited to the palace to meet the queen and she pours tea for them.

As for how much the royal family costs the nation, you have it backward. The revenue they generate is a significant part of Britain's economy.
Reply:Because they are hot.
Reply:what is the alternative? having Blair as president. no thank you. and as for part of the origional post, there was a revolution in the UK, and a republic. ever heard of Oliver Cromwell?
