How long does it normally take to know if you will be invited to a Union Pacific train service hiring session?

Hello. Thanks to everyone who gave me some answers to my last question. I have applied for the union pacific train service position, and got sent to take the reading comprehension test. I passed that test and now it says "Qualified on Test" on my status page. The Job closes out near the end of June but they are having some job fairs and so forth in a couple of days. I only recently took the reading test and was not invited to the job fair. is the job fair the hiring session? How long does it normally take to know if you are going to be invited to the hiring session after the reading test? Do they wait untill the job completely closes out, or do they hold the hiring session before the close out? I appreciate the help you guys give all of us on here. Even to clueless folk like myself.

A hiring fair is where you find out info about the company. A hiring session is where you get hired on the spot. It also depends on the location you applied for. I was just hired at a hiring session, I did my interview, and reading test all the same day. Good Luck
Reply:it depends on when you applied the closing date of the position you applied for when the total nunber of people are weeded out for good posiable hires are added up
Reply:They will not have a hiring session until after the job closes out, and then it can take between 30-60 days for them to shuffle through the applications and have a hiring session.

Having said all that they will, occasionally, have a hiring session while the job is still open; but only if there are a large number of vacancies for the position. Keep checking back and good luck
