Would you not invite your child friend to a bday party because you didn't like his parents?

It would depend on the reason I do not like them. If they are substance abusers or criminals or life a lifestyle that is counter to what I am teaching my children I would NOT invite the child. I would not foster a relationship between my child and the child of someone like that as I would not put my child in harm's way intentionally.

If it were just because we didn't click, yes I would invite the child.

That would not be nice, it's the childs birthday and the childs friend. Do the right thing and invite the child. You can really hurt kids, and parents for that matter, by leaving someone out that really should be included.
Reply:get over it
Reply:Why should the parents be considered? Invite your friend. His mom and dad aren't a problem.
Reply:If your child is old enough to understand the importance of their own friendships, then i would not deny the child the opportunity to let their friend attend the party, despite your feelings for the other kids parents. If you're talking about a toddler... then i would say do what you think is best for your child. If you think the parents would be harmful to your child if they spent the night over there or something, then i think you'd be okay making that judgment. Kids having their own social life is so important though... and just cuz a kids parents are jerks or bums or loud mouthed idiots doesn't mean their child will turn out that way.
Reply:if its you kids birthday you can put up with the parents of their friend throught the party if it will make your kid happy. right?
