Save the Date?Formal Invitation? Wedding Invite? please help?
Save the Dates is usually a non-formal invitation that you send to your guests about 6 months before the wedding. It is just to let them know to "save the date" You will usually state the date and at the bottom you can put "Invitation to follow"...Some Brides don't send these out.

Formal Invitation is the invitation you will send out about 1-2 Months before the wedding. In the Formal Invitation you will usually have the Invitation, Response Card, and an In-Formal card (this is used to give directions to your reception, or important wedding notes for your guests)

I hope this helps you!
Reply:I am not too sure about the formal invitation cards, but I know for sure that the save the date cards and the wedding invitations are totally different. The save the date cards should be sent out 9-12 months in advance of the wedding. The wedding invitations should be sent out 2 months in advance. The save the date cards are not very detailed, they just tell you that the wedding date is going to be. Almost as if to say, "hey we set the date finally. this is when it is." But the invitations tell you date, time, place etc etc. Hope this helps!!
Reply:Save the Date cards are different from the invite.

The Save the Date cards are sent out usually 6 to 9 months prior to the wedding to give people the heads up on the date so they can make travel plans etceteras. The invite is then sent out near the wedding.
